On the edge of our seats! Although fans have to wait a little longer for Don’t Worry Darling to hit theaters, the Florence Pugh and Harry Styles movie has already made headlines during the filming process.
Director Olivia Wilde, who collaborated with Booksmart writer Katie Silberman on the project, opened up about the complications that come with making a movie amid a pandemic.
After shooting started in Los Angeles in late 2020, production was halted following someone on set testing positive for COVID-19. The break lasted for two weeks before resuming in November 2020.
“It definitely affects that exact ingredient in the process, that camaraderie. It definitely makes it more difficult,” she told Variety in February 2021. “You have to really focus on everybody’s eyes. Everyone is communicating so differently, and there’s a lot of gesticulating.”
Don’t Worry Darling, which originally had Pugh and Shia LaBeouf in the lead roles, also went through several casting issues when the Disney alum dropped out due to a scheduling issue. Dakota Johnson, who joined the cast in September 2020, dropped out one month later due to prior commitments and was replaced with KiKi Layne.
Following LaBeouf’s exit, Wilde discussed not allowing actors on her set who don’t contribute positively to the project.
“Someone, who’s a very established actor and director in this industry, gave me really terrible advice that was helpful, because I just knew I had to do the opposite,” the House alum said during the Variety interview. “They said, ‘Listen, the way to get respect on a set, you have to have three arguments a day. Three big arguments that reinstate your power, remind everyone who’s in charge, be the predator.’ That is the opposite of my process. And I want none of that. … The no a–holes policy, it puts everybody on the same level.”
As Don’t Worry Darling continued filming, Chris Pine offered a glimpse at the “good art” that came from working on something unique.
“The aesthetic of the movie is beautiful. The story is so compelling and so fun and so dark and twisted,” the actor told Entertainment Tonight in December 2020. “Shooting was wonderful. Olivia is very clear about what she wants.”

After announcing he wouldn’t be reprising his role of Superman, Henry Cavill licked his wounds with a little help from his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso in Beverly Hills on Friday, January 26. The pair were spotted out on a rare date night at celeb hotspot Mr. Chow, holding hands and looking like a couple of teenagers in love. Henry, 39, rocked a tight black shirt and matching pants, while Natalie, 32, followed his lead with a gorgeous dark ensemble.
While the British heartthrob didn’t appear fazed by the sad casting news during the date, losing out on the iconic character of Clark Kent, whom Henry played in three movies, must certainly be on his mind. He had even announced that he would be wearing the red cape again in October with a celebratory Instagram video, only to take it back less than two months later.
“I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone,” the Enola Holmes star wrote to his 23 million followers on Dec. 14. “I will, after all, not be returning as Superman. After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life.” He added, “The changing of the guard is something that happens. I respect that. My turn to wear the cape has passed, but what Superman stands for never will. It’s been a fun ride with you all, onwards and upwards.”
Many fans were caught off guard by the news, as Henry had recently donned the tights and boots for a cameo in Black Adam. It has yet to be announced who will be taking over the Man of Steel role.
Meanwhile, Henry and Natalie appear to be going from strength to strength. The couple went public on April 10, 2021, when Henry shared a sweet photo of them together on Instagram. “This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love Natalie, destroys me at chess,” he raved. Natalie, in turn, shared a tribute to Henry on his 38th birthday on May 5th, 2021. “Happiest of birthdays to my birthday boy,” she wrote.

Another Real Housewives reunion, another drama! During the taping of The Real Housewives of Miami Season 5 reunion, Bravo host Andy Cohen, 54, posted a video of him saying sorry to Larsa Pippen, 48, on Jan. 26. “We’re still shooting, and I didn’t have screaming at Larsa on my bingo card today,” he said via his Instagram Story. Immediately, the 48-year-old could be heard asking if Andy was going to apologize. “Are you going to apologize?”, she asked, to which the host replied, “I’m sorry Larsa.”
After he said he was sorry, someone off-camera asked why he was apologizing. “For screaming at her,” he began. “I don’t like screaming at women. I said it on the break, I don’t want to scream at women. Anyway, sorry.” After a fan re-posted the video to Instagram, many of the show’s viewers took to the comments to react to Andy’s post. “I’m glad that Andy yelled at Larsa she be too full of herself sometimes,” one fan wrote, while another added, “I don’t like Larsa but Andy is a little too comfortable screaming at women.”
Amid the apology, many of the fans also reacted to the seating arrangement at the reunion. “The #RHOM Reunion seating chart is here! Nicole [Martin] first chair! Kiki at reunion!”, the fan account captioned the photo. While they looked at the seating chart, one fan noted their opinion on who deserved to be closest to Andy. “Nicole and Lisa [Hochstein] deserved those first seats,” they penned, while another added, “I’m here for Nicole’s seat!!” Despite this, some were not pleased to see Guerdy Abraira sitting at the end of everyone else. “Justice for guerdy!!!”, the separate admirer wrote.
Prior to the bit of drama with Andy and Lisa, the 54-year-old took to his Instagram Story on Thursday to show off his reunion outfit. For the day of filming Andy rocked a dapper navy blue suit complete with a white button-up and black tie. “Good day for a reunion! #RHOM”, he captioned the mirror selfie. In the fan re-post, many reacted to Andy’s post with compliments on the show. “Best cast ever !!!!!!! Best show on Peacock,” one fan wrote, while another said, “Don’t want this season to end.”
The RHOM has been on since 2011 and currently stars Lisa, Larsa, Guerdy, Alexia Nepola, Dr. Nicole Martin and Julia Lemigova. Marysol Patton and Adriana de Moura also joined the show as “friends of the cast”, per US Weekly. Following the taping of the reunion, it was also reported that Larsa had unfollowed Nicole and Adriana, per Housewives Room. The Season 5 reunion is set to premiere on Peacock in the coming weeks, following the Dec. 8, 2022 finale.
