‘Lord Of The Rings’ Series New Trailer: Sauron Begins To Wreak Havoc

Published

on

Ahead of the show’s big debut on September 2, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power put on quite a spectacle at San Diego Comic-Con on July 22. The massive cast assembled for the show’s first outing at the convention and revealed a new trailer for fans.

“We thought the war, at last, was ended. We thought our joys would be unending. We thought our light would never dim,” Galadriel says in the trailer. Soon, she learns darkness, pain, and war await.

The evil at the hands of Morgoth and now Sauron has not been completely snuffed out. In fact, this evil is entering a new chapter. The actor playing Sauron remains a mystery. Only parts of his hands and arms are seen in the trailer.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is the first TV adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s work. The trilogy of movies was a massive success in the early 2000s. The films grossed nearly $3 billion at the global box office. The Lord of the Rings series is one of the most expensive films ever made. The first season cost a whopping $465 million.

The Prime Video series is set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The show takes viewers “back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and one of the greatest villains that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.”

Cynthia Addai-Robinson

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power starts at a time of “relative peace” as the characters, ones you’ll recognize and ones you won’t, confront “the long-feared reemergence of evil to Middle-earth.” The series will drop new episodes weekly, exclusively on Prime Video. Season 2 has already gotten the greenlight and is currently underway.

Tommy Lee’s wife Brittany Furlan revealed she’s in a good place with his ex-wife, Pamela Anderson, following a recent rumored feud between the ladies. The comedian, 36, made the announcement on Friday night, March 31 after her stand-up set at Hollywood’s Improv club. “We’re all good. We want happiness, we want everyone to be friends,” she said to TMZ.

The drama began after fans claimed Brittany was dragging Pamela in a since-deleted TikTok. In it, Brittany used a “90s Pam Makeup” filter on herself and pretended to be the Baywatch star barely reacting to Brittany’s hypothetical death, according to TMZ. “Pam if I died,” Brittany had tagged the clip. The comic would end up writing, “Pls guys I gotta make jokes it’s how I cope,” before deleting the video altogether.

On Friday, Brittany told TMZ that she has yet to hear from Pamela after the TikTok video went viral. However, she said that she would be more than happy to sit down with the actress and hash it all out, per the outlet.

Prior to the self-deprecating TikTok, Brittany had shared a video letting her fans know how she was doing after the release of Pamela’s documentary and memoir Love, Pamela. In them, the Barbed Wire vet spoke extensively about her rocky 1995-1998 marriage to Tommy Lee, which caused some online hate towards Brittany, per People.  “I’m lucky to have a really loving husband who honestly laughs all the stuff off and could care less,” Brittany said in the clip, according to the outlet. “So, don’t worry about anything and thank you to everyone that’s been sticking up for me”

Pamela, who shares two sons, Brandon and Dylan, with Tommy, has not commented on the Brittany TikTok drama. In addition, she appeared to cheer on the couple, who married in 2019, when she made an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in January.

“He’s married and happy, and she’s good to him and I totally support that and think that’s great,” Pamela told the shock jock.  “I hate to be annoying and going through this again. I’m sure she’s annoyed, but I respect their relationship, and [I’m] just glad he’s happy and he has somebody in his life.”

Mary Fitzgerald revealed she and her husband Romain Bonnet suffered a miscarriage. The Selling Sunset star, 42, took to her Instagram on Friday, March 31 to share the heartbreaking news, saying they had initially discovered they were expecting their first child together during their honeymoon to Indonesia in January. “We were in Bali, we got pregnant and, unfortunately, that didn’t work out.,” Mary explained.

She also said that there were complications. “I also apparently had what they called septic miscarriage, so I had to go in for surgery for that,” Mary added, referencing a miscarriage with a uterine infection.

“The reason why I’m speaking out now is because I do realize how common this is and how many people go through this, and it is not easy,” she continued. “I needed a minute because there are so many eyes on me and everyone judges and everything, and it has been rough to say the least, but there’s still hope.”

The caption for the video was filled with as much heartbreak and hope as the video itself. “It’s not always sunshine and butterflies, and that is ok. I wanted to share this in the hopes of letting others know they are not alone. I promised I would be truthful and keep you guys updated, ” Mary wrote. “We won’t be giving up… and if this message speaks to you in any way or you are feeling down, helpless, alone… please know we are in this together. Hang in there…”

Romain commented on the post and showed off his unwavering love and support for his new bride. “It’s just the beginning of our journey my princess and i promise I will always be here to support you in every step of the way ❤️❤️,” the 30-year-old realtor wrote.

Meanwhile, Mary, who has one adult son from a previous relationship, spoke EXCLUSIVELY with HollywoodLife about her and Romain’s 12-year age difference, which at one time appeared to be a real concern for Selling Sunset fans. “I don’t let it get to me too much. I just try to ignore most of it. I know who I am. I know what my relationship is with Romain. We’re very secure. I don’t try to pay too much attention to it,” she told HL.
