Here’s every Marvel movie and TV show reveal from Comic-Con 2022. The return of Comic-Con to in-person exclusive fan conventions couldn’t come soon enough, and Marvel Studios has a huge presence in San Diego once more. With Thor: Love and Thunder out of the way, Marvel’s Phase 4 still has some huge releases to come, and then there’s the small question of what the future of the MCU will look like.
Whether Marvel will announce the next Avengers movie at Comic-Con 2022 has been a huge question in the run-up to the event. Even with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania, and James Gunn’s Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3 likely to dominate proceedings – and perhaps something from The Marvels – there arguably doesn’t need to be too much of a look ahead. But Kevin Feige loves a surprise, and 2019’s late Blade announcement surely sets a precedent rather than standing as an exception. But quite what the twist ending will be is anyone’s guess.
Inevitably, Marvel Studios is one of the biggest draws of Comic-Con 2022, and Screen Rant will be compiling together all of the biggest news and reveals from Kevin Feige’s team in one place. Here’s everything Marvel Studios and Animation revealed about upcoming Marvel TV shows and movies at Comic-Con 2022:
I Am Groot
The first episode of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy spin-off, I Am Groot, was shown at Comic-Con, with Marvel also confirming Bradley Cooper’s return, and the mini-series’ first trailer.
Spider-Man: Freshman Year
While Tom Holland won’t return for Spider-Man: Freshman Year, the animation drew a lot of attention in Hall H during Friday’s Marvel Animation panel by confusing the MCU timeline. While it’s set prior to Captain America: Civil War, as confirmed by Peter Parker’s homemade suit, the story will introduce Norman Osborn as an alternative mentor to Tony Stark. His son Harry is also a classmate of Peter’s.
Intriguingly, Charlie Cox will return to voice Daredevil, on the back of his official MCU live-action return, and Doctor Strange will also be included in the animation. Images revealed at Comic-Con 2022 also revealed the full list of Spider-Man supporting characters and Spidey villains included in Freshman Year, as well as the costumes Peter Parker will wear.
