Now That We’ve All Digested “Stranger Things 4,” Here Are 10 Burning Questions I Need Answered In Season 5

🚨 Warning: Major spoilers ahead for Stranger Things Season 4, vols. 1 and 2. 🚨

It’s been about three weeks since we were all emotionally destroyed by Stranger Things 4, Vol. 2, and it’s safe to say we’re all still trying to heal from the experience.

The GIF above is me ever since Episode 9 dropped…

However, it’ll probably be another 84 years before Season 5, aka the final Stranger Things season, is released, so in the meantime, here are my top 10 questions we can all obsess over before we say goodbye to our favorite band of nerds:

Will Max’s spirit be found in the Upside Down?

When we last saw our favorite redhead, she was blind and immobile in a hospital bed after Eleven was unable to save her from Vecna’s clutches but was able to at least somewhat resurrect her. While her body is in Hawkins, the Duffers have confirmed to Deadline that she’s “brain-dead, blind, and all her bones are broken,” so it seems likely that her spirit is somewhere else — probably the Upside Down. Will Eleven go back to save her from Vecna, or will Max find her way back to her body on her own? Or will Lucas be the one to charge into Vecna’s den and bring back Max? Or, since Venca isn’t in the ~best~ shape after the final fight in Vol. 2, maybe he’s not the one who has her spirit. So where is she?! I NEED TO KNOW RIGHT NOW.

Will it be revealed that Vecna has a spy working for him in Hawkins? And, if so, will it be the guidance counselor?

This was a super-popular theory online after it was revealed that all of Vecna’s victims saw the school counselor before being terrorized. I personally agree with fans who believe Vecna has a spy working for him, because it would be way easier to get intel straight from the source who’s working with these kids every day. Plus, something seemed kinda off about the counselor when we first saw her speaking to Max, as if she was prying for all the wrong reasons. This would be a wild twist and something that would make jaws drop everywhere.

Will any major characters die in the series finale?

Much like queen MBB, I, too, believe the Duffer brothers could kill off more beloved characters. The pair seem to have an interesting track record of bringing cool characters into the cast each season, only to kill them off in the same season. Since this will truly be the end of seeing our favorite group together, I think it would be appropriate to go out with a bang and make us lose one or more characters we’ve known since the very beginning.

Will the people of Hawkins finally be privy to the supernatural happenings in their town?

Look, I don’t mean to sound harsh, but how the hell do these people not know ANYTHING about what’s been going on in their town?! It’s been four years, and you’re telling me NO ONE has caught onto the demons, Russian spies, government agents, and superpowered children wandering down their streets?? I truly hope we see this town get their act together and open their eyes in Season 5.

Will Nancy and Steve get back together?

This isn’t a super-pressing issue, but after Steve’s speech about having kids and the long, lingering glances between the two in the Upside Down, I’m once again forced to care about their romantic relationship. TBH, I really hope they don’t get back together. These two broke up so long ago and would be wayyy better off as friends. Honestly, I hope Nancy breaks up with Jonathan and starts dating Robin. #TeamRonanceForLife!

Will the party find out about Will’s sexuality?

Now that Noah Schnapp has officially confirmed that Will is gay and has feelings for Mike, I wonder if Season 5 will see him finding the courage to tell his friends. From their heartwarming chat in the pizza shop, it’s obvious that Jonathan already knows. So it seems only fitting that Will would tell his friends, who are part of his family. Even if he doesn’t overtly tell them, it would be a beautiful moment for young queer teens to see.

Will Eleven sacrifice herself to save Hawkins from Vecna?

Netflix / Courtesy the Everett Collection

This show’s plot was partly kicked off by Eleven sending Henry into the Upside Down, so it would make sense that she would have to sacrifice herself to stop him, much like the way she sacrificed herself at the end of Season 1. However, if this does happen, will this be a permanent decision in which we’ll lose our beloved Eleven forever?

Will Eddie return from the Upside Down in a zombie-like state or is he gone for good?

Netflix / Courtesy of the Everett Collection

Okay, look. I know this is a hugggggge pipe dream, but this death was truly the saddest one in all of Stranger Things history (sorry to Barb, Bob, Billy, and Alexei). Eddie was such a breath of fresh air in Hawkins, and it was so sad to see him be taken out, however badass it was. It may seem like a cop-out, but it would be interesting to see him come back to Hawkins, but not as his normal self. There’s a popular theory going around in which fans believe Eddie could come back as Kas, a vampire who serves as the right hand to his master (Vecna) before ultimately turning on him to save the day. It probably won’t happen, but also, CAN IT PLEASE HAPPEN?!

Will Dmitri (aka Enzo) return to help Hopper and Joyce defeat Vecna?

Netflix / Courtesy the Everett Collection

We love to see an enemy-to-friend storyline. However, in the final moments of Season 4, Vol. 2, our favorite guard seemingly stayed in Russia instead of going to Hawkins with Joyce, Hopper, and Murray. After his speech to Yuri about how Vecna’s reach could come for their families in Russia, it’s understandable that he would’ve stayed behind in his motherland to hold everything down. However, it would be awesome to see him reunite with Jopper for their final showdown with the Upside Down.

And finally, will Will be the true key to defeating Vecna once and for all?

Much like what I said in my question about Eleven, the show’s plot was also kick-started by Will being taken into the Upside Down by what we now know was Vecna. And, suspiciously enough, Will is the only person, besides Eleven, to survive going into the Upside Down for an extended period of time. Is it possible that Vecna took Will on purpose because he senses that Will has some untapped powers he could use to take over the world? Will we see Will sacrifice himself for the people and town he loves as he goes toe to toe with the scariest Stranger Things monster to date?! The possibilities are truly endless!!

Do you have any questions that need to be answered in Stranger Things Season 5? Let me know in the comments!

Fred Savage Calls Claims of Misconduct Against Him on ‘Wonder Years’ Set ‘Devastating’

Fred Savage is defending himself amid allegations of inappropriate conduct on the set of ABC’s The Wonder Years reboot.

In a shocking exposé published by the Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, a group of unnamed women who worked on the show’s crew — on which Savage was working as an executive producer and director — have come forth to make public their claims of his alleged misconduct towards women that ultimately led to an investigation and Savage’s firing by the network earlier this year.

In a statement, Savage tells THR: “Since I was 6 years old, I have worked on hundreds of sets with thousands of people, and have always strived to contribute to an inclusive, safe and supportive work environment. It is devastating to learn that there are co-workers who feel I have fallen short of these goals. While there are some incidents being reported that absolutely did not and could not have happened, any one person who feels hurt or offended by my actions is one person too many. I will work to address and change any behavior that has negatively affected anyone, as nothing in this world is more important to me than being a supportive co-worker, friend, husband, father and person.”

Savage’s accusers said they were requesting anonymity for fear of potential damage to their careers. Among their accusations against the star: verbal harassment, alleged assault, and “manipulative and erratic” behavior, THR reports. “His eyes would go dead,” one accuser said, claiming that he only engaged in said behavior with “below-the-line employees who don’t have power.”

“We all felt supported by Fred. We truly thought he supported women. He told us he supported women. But this kind of support isn’t real,” another woman told THR

This is not the first time Savage has been accused of misconduct. Back in 2018, a former wardrobe department crew member on Fox’s 2015 show, The Grinder, sued Savage for assault, battery and harassment. The woman also sued 20th Television (then known as 20th Century Fox Television)  for discrimination and failing to prevent discrimination and harassment, among other things. The lawsuit alleged that Fox was more concerned with protecting Savage than preventing harassment towards the woman and other female crew members. Savage vehemently denied the claims.

That same year, The Wonder Years actress Alley Mills claimed the cancellation of the original series came after a “completely ridiculous sexual harassment suit” filed against Savage, who was 16 at the time, and co-star Jason Hervey, who was 20 at the time. According to Deadline, Mills said that case was settled out of court.

Neve Campbell Believes Her “Scream 6” Offer Would Have Been Different If She Were A Man

Back in June, the actor, who has starred as Sidney Prescott in all five films, shocked fans when she announced she wouldn’t be appearing in Scream 6.

And while recently discussing her choice to leave, Neve said she believes things would have been totally different if she were a man.

“I did not feel that what I was being offered equated to the value that I bring to this franchise, and have brought to this franchise, for 25 years,” Neve told People.

She continued, “And as a woman in this business, I think it’s really important for us to be valued and to fight to be valued.”

Neve went on to say that she doesn’t believe a man who had been a part of a franchise for that long would have been offered what was presented to her.

“I honestly don’t believe that if I were a man and had done five installments of a huge blockbuster franchise over 25 years, that the number that I was offered would be the number that would be offered to a man,” Neve shared.

She added that in her “soul,” she “just couldn’t do that.”

“I couldn’t walk on set feeling that — feeling undervalued and feeling the unfairness, or lack of fairness, around that,” Neve concluded.

I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that the studio will come to their senses and offer Neve what she deserves!

You can read all that Neve had to say here.

The best movies and documentaries about Princess Diana

Years after her tragic death in 1997 at the age of 36, Princess Diana continues to be a source of inspiration and fascination. Movies, TV shows, documentaries, novels and biographies all explore the circumstances of her life.

And it was an extraordinary one. Born Diana Spencer in 1961, she went on to marry the heir to the British throne and move people around the world with her personality and her humanitarian efforts.

To this day, people mourn the loss of the People’s Princess and hunger for more details about the scrutiny she faced, before and after her divorce from Prince Charles. Her two children, William and Harry, also pay homage to their mother.

If you’re looking for a royal-themed night in, these are the best movies about Princess Diana to watch, ranging from horror-infused imaginative works starring Kristen Spencer to documentaries using footage from Diana’s real life. We’re ordering them in chronological order, as the tone of the movies vary depending on when they were made.

‘The Princess’ (2022)

The year of the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, HBO is releasing an original documentary about her life. Composed exclusively of archival footage, the Ed Perkins documentary directed “immersive and intimate” look into how public adoration, coupled with the overwhelming scrutiny she faced, became a perfect storm.

‘Spencer’ (2021)

This critically-acclaimed film garnered much praise for its intense and imaginative retelling of Princess Diana’s life, more designed to evoke a feeling of her circumstances than the actual facts.

“Spencer,” starring Kristen Stewart (who landed her first Oscar nomination for her portrayal as Princess Diana), focuses at the point in Princess Diana’s life where her relationship with Prince Charles was on the decline, and she was growing tired of the pressures of being a royal. The film also shows her real-life battle with bulimia.

Although Diana is widely known for her elegance and soft demeanor, this movie gives a sharper image of what her life was like away from the press — and if you’ve seen this film, which borrows from the horror genre, you know it’s not pretty.

‘Diana: The Musical’ (2021)

The legend of “Diana: The Musical” is eclipsed only by the legend of Diana herself. Before the musical hit Broadway stages in Nov. 2021, it premiered on Netflix. Then, it only lasted a month on Broadway — 59 performances, to be precise. Despite negative reviews at the time, the musical is already being reconsidered.

Jeanna de Waal played the royal, telling TODAY she hoped audiences found it “wildly entertaining.” She added, “I hope people take away just how much love and passion the creative team had for Diana in making this.” If you, too, love Diana, you might enjoy seeing her life told in cheeky but heartfelt songs.

‘The Crown’ (2016-present)

“The Crown” isa historical Netflix series that documents the life of Queen Elizabeth II and the political (and personal) events that shaped her reign as Queen. Fans awaited Princess Diana’s debut in Season Four of the show, knowing the drama she would bring. Emma Corrin gives a fantastic performance as Princess Diana in Season Four, with Elizabeth Debicki taking over in future seasons.

‘Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy’ (2017)

This Princess Diana documentary focuses on a perspective that many people want to hear from. Prince William and Prince Harry exclusively open up on camera about their mother, Princess Diana. They both give interviews and talk openly about their mom in this insightful documentary, paying tribute to her life and legacy.

‘Princess Diana: Tragedy or Treason?’ (2017)

Diana died in a car accident in Paris in Aug. 1997. Akin to any tragic death of extremely public and beloved figures, there’s some speculation as to whether Princess Diana’s death was accidental or not. In this documentary, streaming on Amazon Prime ,the details of her death are examined, decisively proving the conspiracy theories of her death untrue.

‘Diana’ (2013)

What did the last two years of Diana’s life look like? She and Charles divorced, officially, in 1996, and she died in 1997. Naomi Watts plays the Diana as she transitions from princess to humanitarian — a role she doesn’t get to occupy for long.

‘The Queen’ (2006)

“The Queen” is less about Diana, and more about the reverberations her death had on the royal family, the United Kingdom and beyond. In the wake of her death, a mourning people looked to the Queen.Helen Mirren won an Oscar for her performance as Queen Elizabeth II contemplating when, how and if to address the public.

‘Princess in Love’ (1996)

This movie made for TV, based on the book with the same title by Anna Pasternak, tells the story of Diana’s dwindling marriage to Prince Charles — and her consequential affair with her former riding instructor, Captain James Hewitt. Hewitt collaborated with Pasternak to write the 1994 novel, an account of their five year-long affair.

“Diana: Her True Story” (1993)

This biopic, like “Princess in Love,” came out while Diana was alive, amid the media frenzy that erupted after she and Charles separated. The biopic is based off of Andrew Morton’s 1992 explosive book “Diana: Her True Story.” After Diana died, Morton revealed that Diana was the book’s primary source, per Frontline. Serena Scott Thomas plays Diana.

‘Charles & Diana: A Royal Love Story’ (1982)

Another made-for-TV movie, this early film tells of the marriage and the initial period following the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Made in 1982, this movie is also a period piece in itself, as Diana and Charles story had not played entirely by then – they separated 10 years later, in 1992.
