An Ode to Kate Middleton’s London Nightclub Era

Published

on

Of the hundreds and thousands of different photos of Kate Middleton on the internet, recently, Tiktok user @danideeeee1 dug up a specific set of fourteen of them. They weren’t from the Duchess of Cambridge’s 2011 wedding day, where she wore a long-sleeved lace Alexander McQueen gown considered as one of the most iconic of all time. They weren’t her 40th birthday portraits by Paolo Roversi, depictions so ethereal that they now belong to the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery. Nor from any official state dinner, where she donned a priceless tiara leant to her by the Queen and diamond jewels that dripped off the delicate nape of her neck.

Instead, she’s partying at the club circa 2006 to 2008.

If you want to get specific about it, Boujis or Mahiki. They were watering holes of choice for the royal—and royal adjacent—social set in the mid 2000s, where they’d rounds of champagne, vodka, and passion fruit cocktails. At three a.m., they’d stumble back out into the night as the paparazzi swarmed around them.

There she is, hair flying, dancing with Prince William after they graduated from St. Andrew’s University and both moved back to London. There she is again, attempting to hide her face from the cameras in the London street as they clamored capture the newly-single Middleton after her and William briefly split. There’s her in a car, her cheeks flushed, with a dazed look in her eye.  “Party hard,” reads the Tiktok caption. It has over 5.6 million likes.

Rande Gerber Gets a Haircut From Daughter Kaia: ‘Beats Going to the Barber’

Kaia Gerber‘s got skills! The supermodel gave her dad, Rande Gerber, an at-home haircut, saving him from a trip to the barber.

The Casamigos cofounder, 60, shared a sweet photo of Kaia, 20, at work on his mane via Instagram on Sunday, August 7. “@KaiaGerber cuts on the dock, sure beats going to the barber,” he captioned the post.

In the shot, the American Horror Story star was dressed in a black bikini and looked focused as she evened out her father’s tresses on a lakeside dock. Rande, for his part, smiled into the camera.

The father-daughter moment was praised by fans. “Great memory to have too!!!” one follower wrote. A second fan commented, “Sometimes it’s the simplest and sweetest things that bring the most joy.” A third social media user added: “Looks pretty good to me, a pro in the making!”

This wouldn’t be the first time Kaia has shaped up Rande’s ‘do. In 2017, Kaia’s mom and fellow supermodel Cindy Crawford posted an Instagram photo of the YSL Beauty ambassador giving Rande a cut. “Waterfront haircuts by @KaiaGerber. Anyone need a trim?” Crawford, 56, captioned the shot, adding a scissor emoji.

That time, Kaia worked on the back of the businessman’s crown as he sat patiently, facing the lake.

The Gerbers have been enjoying life on the water. Earlier this month, Crawford shared a video of herself and Rande taking a ride on a jet ski.

“Feels like summer,” the Illinois native wrote alongside the Instagram clip shared on Saturday, August 6. One week prior, Crawford shared a photo of herself and Rande posing together on a dock, teasing in the caption, “Welcome to Gerber Island.”

In addition to Kaia, Crawford and Rande share son Presley Gerber, 23. The couple tied the knot in 1998 on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The ceremony was a relaxed one, with Crawford walking down the aisle barefoot in a lace slip dress.

“I wanted to look like the best version of the girl Rande loves waking up to every morning,” Crawford wrote in her 2015 book Becoming, per Brides. “Rather than have my dad walk me down the aisle and give me away, Rande and I chose to walk each other down the stairs that led to the beach and the ceremony.”

Pete Davidson’s Shirt Seems to Say How He Feels About His Split From Kim Kardashian

Published

on

In the few days since news broke that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson broke up, the only public response has come from Kardashian’s ex, Kanye West. Still, Davidson’s post-breakup style may hint at how the SNL cast member is taking the split.

While Davidson spent August 5 with his mother and sister, Casey, as they celebrated her graduation from the physician assistant program at New York City’s Pace University, he was back in Australia to continue shooting his film Wizards! the very next day.

So how does Pete Davidson—who literally has Kim’s name branded on his chest—feel about the breakup? We can’t say for sure, but the T-shirt he reportedly wore on the set of his upcoming project might shed some light on the subject. According to E! News, the comedian was photographed wearing a “What… I feel like shit” T-shirt on August 6, just one day after their split was reported.

Though it was initially said that long-distance and scheduling conflicts led to their breakup, a source recently told Entertainment Tonight that the reality star broke things off with the comedian because “the spark between” them had “faded” after nine months together. The source added that Davidson is “so sweet, but she didn’t feel ready for something serious with him.”

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

“They had tons of chemistry, and still do, but she kind of wants to be single and date,” the source said. “Kim still adores Pete and will always be friends with him. She still thinks he’s the nicest and sweetest guy in the world and there’s no drama or anything weird between them now.”

They continued, “She felt like Pete was the extreme opposite of Kanye and it was good for her then. She initially thought it would be a fun fling, but then it got more serious when they were spending so much time together. Kim wasn’t feeling like she was willing to settle down with him just yet.” When you think about it, this makes more sense than long-distance struggles considering Kim Kardashian’s reported affinity for her private jet…
