These Are the Best K-Beauty Products You Can Shop on Amazon

Published

on

For years, we’ve sought out Korean beauty treatments and practices in a quest to discover the secret to more clear, supple skin. Thankfully, there is a crop of Amazon Korean beauty finds available to shop as the tried-and-true beauty products that have emerged stateside.

Think intensive hydration and glass skin powered by innovative formulations featuring ingredients from snail mucin to royal jelly and centella asiatica (an Asian-grown herb known for its anti-inflammatory benefits). And through social media sharing or stars like Irene Kim and Jeon Somi revealing their Korean beauty favorites, we’re eagerly leaning into the beauty rituals that Koreans hold close.

There are cult-favorite formulas like Laneige’s nourishing lip mask, or the Cosrx snail mucin-infused essence, which went viral on TikTok. Or perhaps, a more hidden gem like Zeroid’s skin-balancing toner. Either way, you’re sure to discover a product to suit a variety of skin conditions and concerns. Below, here are the best Amazon Korean beauty finds to shop this Amazon Prime Day 2022.

Glow Recipe

From Glow Recipe, expect not only thoughtful skin-care packed with fruit-based, clean formulas, but also what the brand describes as “sensorial self-care moments.” Founded by Christine Chang and Sarah Lee took inspiration from their Korean heritage to create its lineup in 2017. Now, you’ll see some of its most notable products, like the Watermelon Glow Dew Drops, trending on TikTok as a skin-care makeup hybrid that reveals glossy, glowing skin. Or, we might reach for its Eye Sleeping Mask formulated with avocado, encapsulated retinol, coffeeberry, and niacinamide to de-puff, moisturize, and brighten the under-eye.

Zeroid

Launched in 2002, Zeroid is a Korean beauty brand that looks to treat skin conditions through science-backed solutions. In Kim’s installment of Vogue’s beauty secrets, you see the star applying a toner by Zeroid as the second step in her skin-care routine—noting that she’s been using the brand for years. While the toner works to balance oily and troubled skin types through a blend of salicylic acid and zinc pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, the brand’s lineup also includes restorative treatments like the Richenic Cream, which use natural moisturizing factors, urea, and hyaluronic acid, to help strengthen the skin barrier.

Cosrx

Jun Sang Hun founded Cosrx in 2013 to help consumers find solutions to an array of skin conditions—pairing “cosmetics” with prescription-esque formulations. Somi reaches for its Full Fit Propolis Synergy Toner post-cleanse—a skin-soothing agent infused with both propolis and honey extract. Otherwise, there’s the Snail Mucin Repair Cream loved for its hydrating and reparative benefits.

Belif

At the heart of Belif is the centuries-old apothecary herbalist Duncan Napier’s nature-based philosophies. Plus, Belif’s natural-based formulas work in tangent with Korean skin-care science. Nowadays, we look to the brand for ultra-lightweight yet intensely soothing, moisturizing formulas. For example, its Aqua Bomb boasts a gel-cream texture that feels cool even on hot summer skin. Eyes get a dose of hydration too with its Eye Bomb that plumps skin and reduces elasticity.

Mixsoon

With Mixsoon, once one understands their skin type, they can properly treat conditions with single extract ingredients. So, its lineup is composed of 100% undiluted singular ingredients, so you create a customized skin treatment each day. Need a hydration surge? Consider adding the brand’s hyaluronic acid serum, beloved by singer Jeon Somi, to your routine. Or perhaps a gentle exfoliant is more your priority? If so, this essence features a blend of beans, pears, and pomegranate to reveal smooth, supple skin.

AmorePacific

Through AmorePacific, Sung-Hwan Suh sought to share the power of Korean botanicals— specifically green tea sourced from Jeju Island. Thus, you’ll find the powerful antioxidant at the heart of its lineup. There’s the powder-to-foam cleanser that gently exfoliates, leaving skin smooth and even or the Cushion Compact Foundation that provides light to medium coverage while shielding against damaging sun rays.

Hanskin

Hanskin creates natural-based, science-backed, sensitive skin-friendly formulations aiming to make it as easy as possible for one to understand their skin health. Take a glance into its collection to discover easy-to-understand, glow-boosting products that make caring for your skin uncomplicated. While its eye serum awakens tired eyes thanks to a blend of hyaluronic acid, moss extract, and centella asiatica, the BHA-infused Pore Cleansing Oil works wonders to gently exfoliate and prevent blackheads.

Sulwhasoo

Holistic beauty is at the heart of Sulwhasoo’s philosophy—leaning into an inside-out approach to treating skin conditions, but also signs of aging. With the creation of its first product in 1966 by Suh Sung-whan, the brand has since expanded to include an assortment of skin-balancing and harmonizing favorites. Slough away makeup and impurities with its gentle cleansing foam packed with brightening citrus peel and chestnut shell extract. Alternatively, apply the gingseng oil-infused Concentrated Renewal Serum to improve texture and bounciness.

Laneige

Laneige, which translates to “the snow” in French, was founded in 1994 to deliver your skin’s hydrating skin salves for a healthy, glowing complexion—though the brand offers antiaging and brightening solutions, too. Few lip treatments are as notorious as Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask—a hydrating overnight treatment that many even reach for throughout the day. Or, its more lightweight Lip Glowy Balm that’s more compact to stash in your bag.

Beauty of Joseon

Beauty of Joseon uses the ancient Korean herbal approach to wellness called Hanbang to reinterpret traditional methodology in contemporary ways with modern ingredients—looking to address signs of aging, damaged skin barriers, and overall moisture. There’s the Glow Serum which pairs propolis extract, niacinamide, and beta hydroxy acids to control sebum production and quell inflammation. Alternatively, the recently reformulated Dynasty Cream boasts brightening, smoothing, and anti-inflammatory benefits without irritating even sensitive skin.

Innisfree

Founded in 2000 by Suh Sungwhan, Innisfree looks to offer beauty solutions powered by ingredients sourced from Korea’s Jeju Island sans harmful chemicals and preservatives. One of our favorites is a 2021 TikTok discovery: the Dewy Glow Jelly Cream lauded for its remarkably lightweight, jelly texture infused with cherry blossom extracts and niacinamide. Otherwise, we’re partial to its water-based SPF that also delivers lightweight hydration and glow without a white cast.

Neogen Dermalogy

Neogen Dermalogy is all about utilizing dermaceutical research to inform and treat an array of skin concerns—infused with exotic botanicals that may be less common stateside. Take your pick of sun-protecting solutions like its Airy Sunscreen packed with a lightweight blend of 20 plant extracts, or a hydrating and brightening essence containing more than 93% naturally fermented ingredients leaving you with glowing skin.

Moonshot

On the makeup front, however, Moonshot is known for its cool-girl formulas that won’t break the bank. Think vibrant pigments, minimalist finishes, and innovative skin care for the ultimate base. We have our eyes on the Multi Protection SPF that provides only sun protection but even a sebum absorption system that helps control oils. Then, perhaps round out the look with one of its warm matte-velvet lipsticks.

Klavuu

Klavuu looks to marry the power of natural pearl and marine extracts with a clean, scientific approach to beauty. Expect brightening and hydration benefits in all of its lineup (thanks to the pearl extract). The Green Pearlsation Serum utilizes PHAs and purity tea tree extract to gently exfoliate, while the Lip Sleeping Pack features a blend of avocado, sweet almond, and apricot oils to soften and moisturize your pout.

Hailey Bieber Posed Topless With Some Well-Placed Passionfruit

Hailey Bieber wants you to know how juicy her latest Rhode launch is going to be—and she brought props!

On March 31, the Rhode Skin founder shared some more pics from her latest campaign for the passionfruit jelly peptide lip treatment, which will be available to purchase for $16 on April 6. In photos hidden behind a beachy sunset landscape, Bieber posed topless with nothing but a fine gold chain harness in the shape of a bra and some conveniently placed fruits. “Weekend mood,” Biber captioned the Instagram post with a palm tree emoji. You can see the pics here.

Bieber shared other photos from the campaign earlier in the week, though she and her buttercup manicure were wearing a vibrant yellow, green, and red bikini top in those pics. Clearly, Hailey Bieber is hell-bent on pushing her highlighter swimwear agenda. On March 11, the 26-year-old model shared multiple pics in neon green and bright orange string bikinis with the caption, “I’m ready for summer.” Once again, she used the palm tree emoji.

The Best Fashion Instagrams of the Week: Victoria Beckham, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry

Published

on

Batter up! Megan Thee Stallion transformed the standard-issue baseball uniform into a body-hugging sportswear look this week. The rapper—who also wore vintage Paco Rabanne a mere few days ago—threw the first pitch for the opening game of the Houston Astros, her hometown team. For healthy contrast: Troye Sivan donned a fabulous shapeless and silhouette-obscuring Canadian tuxedo paired with a dainty silver chain. Tight or loose: choose your fighter.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande showcased her continuing love for archival fashion in a snap with her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo. The entertainer wore a polka dot Vivienne Westwood dress, procured from the brand’s spring 2010 collection. The outfit is yet another poignant turn to the house’s archive in the wake of Dame Westwood’s death on December 2.

Other strong grid content: Victoria Beckham advocating for peep-toe boots in an ensemble by her namesake brand. And Katy Perry showing off a decadent shag-trimmed coat while on American Idol judging duties.

Julia Roberts’s New Blunt Bangs Are a Dramatic Spring Refresh

Published

on

A new set of bangs for spring? Revolutionary. At least, it certainly is for actor and Chopard ambassador Julia Roberts, who showed off some choppy new bangs at the 2023 Watches and Wonders show in Geneva. Cut by celebrity hairstylist Serge Normant, and colored by Kadi Lee, the eye-grazing style feels fresh and modern, with an almost ’70s rock and roll twist.

The overall effect is very Daisy Jones & the Six—especially with the longer shags at the side and those artfully messy waves. Perfecting the look, Roberts teamed flawless skin and nude lips with a cream Nells Nelson suit for day and a black Victoria Beckham dress for night.

The star isn’t the only one experimenting with bangs this season. At the 2023 BAFTAs, actor Sophie Turner gave us a lesson in fringe benefits with freshly cut curtain bangs—a versatile look that anyone with a fringe can pull off by simply slicing it down the middle and parting it to both sides.

More recently, Emily Ratajkowski stepped out in New York, having traded her bohemian wispy bangs for an even fuller fringe. With spring on the horizon, there’s no better time to think about switching up your look.
